Tip : if the Apple Watch does not want to unlock your Mac

Your Apple Watch can’t or more to unlock your Mac ? You’ve yet turned on the feature “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac” and it doesn’t work ?



In a few words, here are the steps to follow to put things back in order. This problem is not necessarily current but after Mac Observe, when it occurs, the manip’ following is effective. Nothing very complicated, it will be necessary to uncheck this option Mac side — which we may have forgotten the presence , the restart it and your Apple Watch, then the recocher.


For the less experienced(e)s of us, here are the steps to follow in detail :


On your Mac, go to the Apple menu () in the top left and then click on ” System Preferences… “


Then click on ” Security and privacy “


Finally, click on ” General “


Uncheck “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac” :


Clear this check box.

Then, restart your Mac (Apple menu  and then ” Restarting… “)


Restart your Apple Watch : press and hold the side button until the slider appears ” slide to power Off “. Drag it to the right. Your watch turns off after a few seconds. Power it back on by now again the side button until the Apple logo appears.


On your Mac, go to Apple menu , in “Security and privacy” and ” General “


Reselect the check box ” Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac “.
