Michoustine confirmed to the post of Russian prime minister

MOSCOW | The Russian mp has confirmed on Thursday Mikhail Michoustine the post of prime minister, the day after his appointment by surprise by Vladimir Putin to set in motion “changes” in Russia.

“The decision is taken,” said Vyacheslav Volodine, president of the lower house of parliament, after the vote in favour of Mr Michoustine of 383 deputies, to zero votes against and 41 abstentions.

“This application has united all the world,” he added.

The appointment surprised of Mr. Michoustine, patron of the fisc in Russian, took place Wednesday evening after the resignation, no less surprising to the prime minister Dmitry Medvedev, in the wake of a series of ads institutional reforms desired by Vladimir Putin.
