Comparative smartphones premium, 2019 : it was facing the P30 Pro, the Galaxy S10+, the iPhone XS Max and the OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus 7 Pro joined the leading trio of smartphones premium.

While the war in the mid-range was still raging, the majority of manufacturers of smartphones premium have drawn their cards. OnePlus has just been joined by the trio of head with the OnePlus 7 Pro, which has serious assets to resell. In addition to our comparison chart (located at the bottom of the article), here is a brief overview of the main characteristics used in each model stand out. Very high-end forces, none of the four smartphones mentioned here do not disappoint, really, and the experience will convince the vast majority of consumers. But considering the rates to be charged, it is good to know in what compartment some excellent.

Not surprisingly, the four models offer a very pleasant experience for the eyes. The use of slabs OLED allows you to enjoy deep blacks and superb contrast. The Oneplus 7 Pro provides the diagonal the larger with a slab of 6.67 inches, which allows him to pass in front of the iPhone XS Max (6.5 inches), the P30 Pro (6,47 inches) and the Galaxy S10+ (6.4 inch).

The smartphone of the brand apple is still lagging behind the level of the notch, now a little too large for the market. The OnePlus displays have a refresh rate of 90 Hz, which is very nice, but our preference is still going to the brightness and the proper calibration of the S10+. It is really not up to much.

You get the best value for your money level of autonomy and will spend the day without worry with these four behemoths. The iPhone XS Max is a little recessed in the face of the other because of its battery (3174 mAh) and lack of wireless charging (which also affects the OnePlus 7 Pro).

The Galaxy S10+ and the P30 pro have the charge reversed, which can be useful in some cases, although slower in Huawei. It is, however, the P30 Pro and its record-breaking battery life that we was the more convinced, since it takes two days without a hiccup, even when used intensively.

With double, triple and even quadruple sensors, the smartphones mentioned can all enjoy a very good experience in photo. Without necessarily going into details (which you can see in our tests), the photography day will delight neophytes and the majority of the insiders.

The Huawei P30 Pro stands out of the lot, with a quad rear sensor 40 Mpx + 20 Mpx + 8 Mpx + ToF, all powered with a optical zoom x5 and hybrid x10. The versatility of the chinese model has convinced us (despite some irregularities). The S10+ also features an excellent wide-angle and image processing. The OnePlus 7 Pro and the XS-Max are also very convincing although slightly less efficient when the brightness comes down.

There are certainly as many chips as smartphones tested, but don’t worry, none of them, you will be let down. Whether it’s the chip Apple Bionic A12, of the Kirin 980, the Snapdragon 855 or the Exynos 9820, you never risk being caught, even on the games or applications particularly demanding.

The SoC Apple is certainly the most powerful (followed by that of the OnePlus 7 Pro), but the ultra-high-end have reached a level of power for the time being amply sufficient for all purposes. You can buy without fear. You then have to know what OS and overlay to suit you the best. Oxygen OS has this time our preference, followed closely by Open UI.

As the slabs borderless are now commonly used (and stretched !) the designs of our smartphones have started to look very similar. Top-of-the-range forces, the finish is here exemplary. The four smartphones with rounded corners are a nice design, but might be a bit too large for smaller hands. The Android devices all offer a fingerprint reader underneath the screen, very efficient (special mention to one of the 7 Pro), while the iPhone opts for a facial recognition system Face ID that has proven its.

The AFN motor that comes out of the upper right part of the OnePlus 7 Pro is not very aesthetic, but it allows you to enjoy a screen without embellishment. In addition, it should be used only occasionally. With 208 grams on the scale, it is apple who deserves a little weightloss cure, even if OnePlus is not at rest (206g). In the end, it is the colour that will make a real difference on the back side.
