Samsung presents two new sensors camera, a 64 megapixel

The photograph has become a major asset to sell mobile, including top of the range, and the manufacturers do not cease to invest in new technologies to improve them. While Huawei has struck a great blow by offering an impressive optical zoom x5, Samsung intends to impose on the number of megapixels.

The firm has just announced the arrival of two new sensors, named 64 Mpx ISOCELL Bright GW1 and 48 Mpx ISOCELL Bright GM2, which should further improve the definition of images on a smartphone. The first one allows you to make a foot of nose to the other brands, which only offer a 48 Mpx in the maximum.

They have both photosites of 8 microns, which means that the sensor 64 Mpx is a bit larger than the other, in order to let in more light (the photos will then be brighter).

As for the competitors, the sensor uses a technology to combine four pixels into one. He will be able to produce pictures of 16 Mpx in dark environments, and other 64-Mpx in scenes well-lit (great for landscapes for example). This technique allows improving the dynamic range of the image, in order to better distinguish the details of the night shots. The second sensor 48 Mpx should also produce better results in low light.

They will return to production in the latter part of the year 2019. We can therefore expect that smartphones equipped land at the end of the year or the beginning of 2020.
