Sam Raimi confirms that another Evil Dead is in the cards

In the framework of the promotion of ‘breast Crawl’, the director gave an interview to Bloody Disgusting relayed by Indie Wire. He explained that his next “Evil Dead” would already be in the early stages of its development.

“We would like to make a new Evil Dead, and in fact, we are working on ideas at this moment in time “

Raimi would therefore be doing the point on a large number of ideas with Bruce Campbell (Ash Williams in the Evil Dead) and the producer Robert Tapert. He announces in any case that it would have ideas for either a sequel to the reboot in 2013, which is a sequel to the series “Ash vs Evil Dead” where we would find Bruce Campbell.

To recall, the latter was announced in April 2018 that it would stop playing Ash; this could be one of the reasons why Sam Raimi to consider several different possibilities. He plans a new collaboration with director Fede Alvarez, who had worked on the opus of 2013.

“I would be delighted if Bruce Campbell changed his mind compared to his “retirement”, and came back to play in the Evil Dead. But otherwise, I would be delighted to work again with Fede Alvarez if he wanted to come back and turn on… but it is such a star now. It was so successful, and it is so requested that I do not think that he would like to do it “

But if none of the two does not wish to be associated with Raimi to give a sequel to the series the Evil Dead, he confessed to having yet another idea behind the head, a “third possibility”. However, it has not given more detail on this third potential option, but has specified that one could expect to have more news “in the next six months”. The fact to consider as many scenarios are different reflects the true will of Raimi to give a sequel to the franchise, which will delight his fans.

In the meantime more news, the next film Raimi, Crawl, will be released on the 24th of July.
